Job Description
What to Expect The Non Conforming Materials Technician will apply technical skills to setup, operate, and monitor all levels of manufacturing processes within development and full-scale production phases. The Non Conforming Materials Technician is a key member of the process development team focused on, prevention of process failure, initiating troubleshooting investigation and supporting various teams to bring the new product from initial design, through prototype development and finally into full sustaining production. This role may involve working a night shift schedule, but flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and swing shifts, is required. What You'll Do Day to day coverage of production line process, including rapid response on out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity Determine root cause and implement countermeasures to improve process and product yield Maintain and help develop up-to-date manufacturing instructions as well as summarize and analyze yield and process data Support Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives Manage small projects involving multiple departments and/or outside stakeholders Support and monitor engineering or NPI trials Work with production control to find and disposition/process unaccounted for virtual inventory What You'll Bring Degree in Science or Technology related field or equivalent experience Experience with hand tools such multimeters, calipers, and torque tools Comprehension of electrical components and the ability to troubleshoot Knowledge of quality systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment Ability to use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data (Tableau, SQL) Experience with extensive problem-solving and root cause analysis Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
