We have three manufacturing facilities, 12 corporate-owned retail showrooms, and a global distribution network. We have an opening for a Rip Line Operator at our Manlius, NY facility
General Description :
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a RIP Line Operator , where you'll play a key role in crafting high-quality furniture parts using state-of-the-art computerized RIP saw equipment. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who enjoy working with wood, take pride in precision, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate a computerized RIP saw to cut and prepare furniture parts. Identify and work with wood species like Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers. Read and interpret production tickets and part drawings. Inspect parts for quality and accuracy. Perform and log preventive maintenance. Set up and operate machines safely and efficiently.
Essential Knowledge/Skills :
Experience in woodworking or manufacturing preferred (but not required - we'll train the right person!) Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions. Strong attention to detail and safety. Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift. Move objects up to and exceeding 200 pounds with reasonable accommodations. Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions. Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions.
