Temporary Production Technician I (6-Month Assignment) Chembio Diagnostic Systems $17hr to $19hr United States, York, Medford 3661 Horseblock Road (Show on map) Jun 03, 2026
Position Summary:
This is a temporary six (6) month position. Under direct supervision, the Production Technician I is responsible for the preparation, processing, and application of components used in the manufacture of Chembio diagnostic products. The incumbent will follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Responsible for the preparation and application of buffers, test lines, control lines, and other components used in Chembio diagnostic products. Perform daily scale calibrations and equipment checks as required. Maintain and update department documentation, including equipment logs, calibration records, and cleaning logs in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements. Complete accurate batch records and documentation as either an operator or witness during manufacturing activities. Operate production equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining equipment and work areas according to established procedures. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and restock production materials as needed. Comply with all applicable regulatory standards, including OSHA, FDA, USDA, and company quality requirements. Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Identify and report deviations from established processes, procedures, or quality standards. Assist with production-related activities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing, production, laboratory, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is a plus. Experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and handle production materials. Employment Status This is a temporary, full-time position with an anticipated duration of six (6) months. Employment may be extended or terminated based on business needs and operational requirements.
