Manufacturing Technician III United States | 05/26/26 Easy Apply Job Description MARS Solutions Group is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician / Thin-Film Deposition Technician role supporting a Fortune 500 healthcare technology client in Troy, New York. Contract role
  • 12 months (with possible extension or Long term) Pay rate
  • 22 per hour on w2 Shift timing
  • 2nd shift
  • 2nd shift 3pm
  • 11:30 pm Or 3rd shift
  • The shift would be 11pm-7:30am starting Sunday evening but training would be on first shift to start which would be 7am-3:30pm
Description:
Thin-film deposition technician responsible for operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, manual handling of glass light-imagers, maintain electronic records of production materials and equipment, performing routine troubleshooting of production equipment, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams including engineering, EHS, QA, and other production teams to achieve site goals.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Performs manufacturing and maintenance work from detailed work instructions and operational method sheets. Maintains daily production output with accurate records of the work performed and other records as may be required by management. Make limited decisions within the confines of quality and safety approved procedures, with guidance. Mainly performing production work and may be dependent upon others for non-standard work. Flexibility and adaptability expected. Complies with all EHS, Training and Quality procedures and policies Perform routine troubleshooting of process or equipment. Brings equipment irregularities to the attention of the supervisor. Use Lean tools to improve established processes and metrics in daily work. Participates in Action Workouts and Kaizen events. Make acquired skills or knowledge available to others; train others on manufacturing processes. Open to cross-training in other areas of manufacturing process to assist in site goals. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in Applied Sciences (or local equivalent 2 year degree) OR a High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 2 years technical experience in relevant industry Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in cleanroom
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and/or thin film deposition Experience with vacuum systems, compressed gases, RF power, PLC & computer systems strongly preferred Demonstrated experience working in quality-controlled environment, specifically FDA-regulated medical product manufacturing or another relevant environment Demonstrated strong problem-solving / equipment troubleshooting skills Mechanical, facilities and/or maintenance experience Lean / Six Sigma experience
