The Opportunity Precious Plate is hiring a Line Operator to join our team. As a Line Operator, you will perform a variety of activities required to manufacture products, including the reel-to-reel operating of our electroplating manufacturing lines. This is a full-time position, working from 7am - 7pm OR 7pm - 7am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Production Foreman. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use of the reel-to-reel electroplating manufacturing lines and/or equipment to convert raw materials into plated product Follow all safety rules and regulations Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to maintain product quality Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning Troubleshoot process issues and report findings to appropriate team members Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum high school graduate or equivalent Minimum 12-months prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred Ability to work safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others Ability to operate hoists and other motorized equipment to move material Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50lbs as needed to perform essential job functions Working Conditions Regularly works with chemical solutions Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities Could be exposed to background noise, odors, or dust Who We Are Since 1973, Precious Plate has provided exceptional, selective electroplating services by continually adapting and improving electroplating equipment and processes to the specific needs of a wide variety of manufacturers.
