1st Shift About the Role Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Technician Specialist for a contract opportunity in Niagara Falls, NY. Candidates with direct experience performing these tasks under a microscope are preferred. Those with strong relevant experience but no microscope background will also be considered, provided they're willing and able to work under a microscope, as the role requires. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 3+ years of experience in the following job functions and/or skills: SMT (Surface Mount Technology) rework, repair, and assembly PCB rework and assembly Medical device assembly Jewelry making Watch repair Experience using a microscope to assemble components Visual acuity for working with microscopes Experience with miniature precision devices and components Precise hand/eye coordination Technical and detail-oriented by nature Ability to adapt to changing part conditions Ability to adapt to various detailed part inconsistencies Must be a U.S. Person Position Responsibilities- Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks supporting production units, developmental, or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering, or preproduction operations
- Performs modifications, rework, and quality testing as needed
- Interacts regularly with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience working in an ISO/clean room environment
- Experience using a microscope to assemble miniature parts into assemblies
