Full Job Description Production Technician Description:
Cleveland Controls is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support production operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvements, and product testing. Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams, you will help ensure our electromechanical control products are assembled, calibrated, tested, and manufactured to the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient production processes and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation. Non-Exempt, Hourly Reports to
Director of Operations Salary:
$28.00 - $30.00 an hour to start
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance, maintain maintenance records, and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production activities, including equipment setup, process monitoring, assembly, wiring, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical control products.
- Conduct quality inspections, measurements, electrical testing, and verification activities to ensure products meet performance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues using test equipment, schematics, technical documentation, and established procedures.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve productivity, equipment reliability, product quality, and workplace safety.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Assist with training employees on equipment operation, maintenance practices, and production procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a flexible schedule to support production demands.
- Basic computer proficiency and mechanical aptitude, with strong manual dexterity for assembly, testing, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Knowledge of electrical principles, low-voltage circuits, sensors, relays, switches, and industrial control systems.
- Experience using electrical test equipment, including digital multimeters, power supplies, and continuity testers.
- Experience with soldering, wiring, crimping, electronic assembly, and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems preferred.
