Description Engineering Technician Turn Technical Expertise Into Manufacturing Impact. Position Summary The Engineering Technician supports Engineering and Production by maintaining accurate engineering data, creating technical and quality documentation, and improving manufacturing processes. This role creates and maintains BOMs, routings, drawings, and models while ensuring engineering records align with production requirements. The position also supports the setup, commissioning, maintenance, and efficient operation of equipment at the home facility and other company launch sites. The ideal candidate has machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Support the setup, commissioning, maintenance, and efficient operation of production equipment and machinery. Conduct studies and collect production data to identify and support process improvements. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other process documentation. Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings. Ensure engineering data integrity by aligning BOMs with engineering drawings. Process engineering changes by updating BOMs, routings, prints, and models. Create 3D models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Fusion. Develop Quality Assurance check sheets for use on the production floor. Support Engineering activities that improve departmental and company-wide efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred. Two to five years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or a related role. Experience working with BOMs, routings, or similar structured data systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience using 3D CAD software; Autodesk Fusion experience is preferred. Machining experience and the ability to set up and maintain new and existing equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC turning, metal fabrication, welding, and assembly is preferred. Experience participating in or supporting continuous improvement initiatives is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-variability manufacturing environment.
