Understand and execute work order instructions Remove completed logs and or sheets from the line Package logs and or sheets into gaylords Apply correct labels for shipment Wrap packages for shipment Perform visual inspection of log wind up Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Able to operate tow motor Understand the button operations for maintaining proper roll lengths Maintain focus on operations & quality in a fast-paced environment
Experience, Knowledge, and Education:
Good math skills Good written & verbal communication skills Read, write, and speak English Comprehension of written instructions Good attention to details An ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs. regularly An ability to safely handle a utility knife and other hand tools as needed High School diploma or GED Manufacturing experience is a plus While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times due to running of machines. This is a full-time position. The typical shift is one week Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the next week Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 am - 7:00pm for day shift, and one week Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the next week Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 pm - 7:00am for night shift.
