Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Construction Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to read tape measures and blueprints accurately and operate power tools proficiently. Experience in framing or roofing is beneficial as you contribute to our diverse range of construction projects. Welding and mechanically inclined skillsets are also useful to successful team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project execution, emphasizing a strong team-oriented approach. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Measure and mark materials using tape measures and other measuring instruments. Operate various power tools safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, and other equipment. Assist in the assembly and construction of structural components, utilizing skills in framing and mechanical assembly. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in construction or manufacturing are a plus. Proven experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, specifically in framing and carpentry. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and understand tape measurements accurately. Familiarity with using power tools and safety equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing processes within the manufacturing setting. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
