Job Description

: Production Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
A Cart Repair Technician is responsible for ensuring that all laundry transport carts—used to move soiled or clean linens—are functional, safe, and clean. This role prevents operational bottlenecks caused by broken wheels, damaged bodies, or unhygienic conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Preventive Maintenance:
Regularly inspects cart wheels, casters, hinges, and bodies for damage, wear, or misalignment.
Repair Services:
Replaces damaged casters (wheels), fixes broken hinges, repairs mesh or plastic bodies, and welds metal frames (if qualified) to ensure smooth mobility.
Sanitization:
Scrubs, cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes laundry carts daily to meet hygiene standards, particularly in healthcare settings.
Inventory & Tracking:
Monitors cart inventory, reports damaged or missing carts to management, and ensures sufficient sanitized carts are available for production.

Lubrication:
Oils & lubricates cart casters to prevent squeaking & ensure smooth transport.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Cross-train in other positions per production needs Maintain excellent attendance Meet established production standards Follow all company safety rules Be able to work well with a diverse workforce Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor Follow all company policies and procedures Possess and maintain a positive attitude Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be able to walk & stand up to 12 hours a day Sufficient manual dexterity to handle linen efficiently Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling Be able to push/pull clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels) Ability to work in high temperature environment Must be able to read and write English, and perform simple mathematics Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
