Job Description

Position Purpose:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a hands-on role in supporting and improving automated manufacturing processes, equipment, and robotics. This position is ideal for a skilled problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting challenges and driving improvements in quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Manage Automation equipment in designated process areas. Assist in new equipment installations. Operate, maintain, and teach FANUC material handling, welding robots or related equipment. Collaborate with the Plant Controls Engineer to use PLC and HMI programs to troubleshoot and improve the processes. Lead engineering projects that support continuous improvements, increase throughput, or improve product quality of our processes. Work with outside vendors to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions. Use Creo and AutoCAD modeling systems to design basic machine and layout improvements. Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot equipment mechanically and electrically. Support procedure and documentation creation/updates (WI, TPMs, PMs, 5S, …)
Education and Training:
Associates Degree in an Engineering related field or equivalent experience 2-5 years' experience in related field
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to understand and troubleshoot through use of PLC programs. Must have robotic programming experience. FANUC a plus Basic understanding and exposure to 3D modeling and drawing using CAD software Welding or Machining knowledge is a plus Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Strong communication and project organization abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks at once Exhibit strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills
Physical Demands:
Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching Occasional forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs including machine parts, parts boxes, equipment, and tool bag. Able to cover different shifts or work a weekend based on production overtime needs or engineering/maintenance projects

Minimal, depending on project or training needs.
