Own complex milling work. Elevate quality. Lead on 2nd shift. We're seeking a hands-on expert to drive precision and throughput on our CNC milling centers during 2nd Shift . Tools:
Run Makino, Haas, and Fanuc-controlled mills with top-tier tooling. What you'll own Setup and operation of CNC milling machines (Makino, Haas; Fanuc/Haas controls) for milling, drilling, tapping. Interpretation of drawings and GD&T to establish setups and inspection plans. Tool selection, speeds/feeds optimization, and offset management to achieve target dimensions/finishes. Precision checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; in-process and final inspections. Real-time adjustments to maintain quality and takt; documentation of settings, throughput, and results. Troubleshooting tool wear, equipment issues, and programming errors. Participation in lean-inspired process improvements; safe work practices and 5S cleanliness. Regular operation of Makino CNC Milling Machines. Must-haves High school diploma or equivalent. Formal machining apprenticeship or equivalent training. 3+ years as a CNC Mill Machinist. Proven proficiency with Fanuc and Haas controls. Experience on Makino mills. Expert CNC milling fundamentals; blueprint/GD&T fluency; precision measurement skills. Independent setup-to-run capability; strong problem-solving; team communication. Nice-to-haves CNC milling programming experience. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Physical & environment Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs . Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Manufacturing setting with noise, dust, and active machinery. Machines & technologies CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Makino, Dmg Mori Seiki) CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Nakamura) CNC Swiss Lathe (Citizen) CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) CNC Lathe (5+ axis) You should be proficient in GD&T Machine setups for production runs Pay & schedule 2nd Shift position. Pay rate is based on experience!
