Job Description

Responsibilities Entry level position for production technicians. Handles technical duties such as shooting fluid levels, pumping unit analysis, etc. Conducts all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies. Responsible for insuring all necessary forms are completed and submitted as job requires. Handles TA'd, shut in wells, MIT tests, etc. as assigned. Knowledgeable of various plant processes and operations in his area. Performs fluid level soundings and dynamometer analysis and makes appropriate recommendations. Troubleshoots specific wells at the request of the Production Foreman, Production Engineer, and Region Operations Manager and makes recommendations to remedy problems. Evaluate pump-off controller and time clock performance and recommend changes in operating parameters to improve efficiency. Prepares and reviews area well failure report to identify recurring failures due to wear or improper design. Evaluate and recommend solutions to recurring downhole problems. Maintains well analysis and fluid level record systems. Knowledgeable in all aspects of pumping unit, rod, and downhole pump design and operations, as well as all forms of artificial lift currently in use in their area of assignment. Supervises pulling jobs and remedial workovers as required. Supervises battery and facility construction projects as required. Qualifications High School education or G.E.D. Employment contingent upon being able to wear all types of breathing air equipment, pass a pulmonary function test and a fit test. Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation and successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation. Physical Requirements Job duties require working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions. Climbing stairs 20ft in height while wearing breathing apparatus. Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools and wearing breathing air equipment. Lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling required.
