Northwest UAV is currently accepting applications for a Production Technician II. The Production Technician II is responsible for completing production assemblies per client/company specifications. This role will assist in the successful operation of the main shop, ensuring builds and repairs are performed to the satisfaction of the company's AS9100 classification.Key Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, performs varied duties and assignments as it relates to the production department for NWUAV.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to complete and document testing.
- Prepare and close work orders in a timely manner ensuring quality control within the scope of all shop requirements.
- Have knowledge of all resource materials, including build manuals, parts books and drawings, and use these resources effectively to address any and all technical issues.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with the printed procedures.
- Ability to successfully troubleshoot malfunctions, determining root causes and documenting all corrective actions.
- Ability to resolve moderately complex questions or problems within the department.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, professionally and on schedule.
- Adhere to AS9100 standards and regulations as administered by Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Complete all necessary documentation related to the current work order.
- Assist or train other Assemblers as required with the timely completion of sub-assembly.
- Other duties as assigned by the lead or manager.
Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:
The Production Technician II has experience assembling, disassembling, installing and removing machine components with various machine systems. 2-8 years of engine repair/assembly experience required. The Production Technician II is proficient in the ability to understand and utilize all written materials available in reference to the project at hand. Experience working to AS9100 standards is preferred. Essential Functions of theJob:
- Safely lift and carry heavy objects with the help of another person if necessary.
- Ability to work well independently and following strict adherence to deadlines.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout the day alternating sitting and standing as necessary.
- Must be able to visually inspect assemblies to ensure accuracy.
- Perform repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting and stooping.
- Perform fine hand manipulation including handling small and large objects.
- Ability to communicate clearly and be positive, polite, and cooperative with co-workers, managers, customers and vendors.
