The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, repair, testing, and preparation of products and components to meet company quality and production standards. This role supports the full production lifecycle, ensuring accurate builds, efficient workflow execution, and timely completion of all work orders. Technicians perform a combination of mechanical assembly, repair support, product testing, and workflow coordination activities. The position is structured across three levels (TechnicianI, II, III
), reflecting increasing levels of skill, independence, technical expertise, and leadership. 1.REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

3.9.1 Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience. 3.9.2 Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments. 3.9.3 Familiarity with mechanical or electrical assembly processes. 3.9.4 Experience with repair or refurbishment work. 3.9.5 Ability to read diagrams, work orders, and technical instructions. 4.WORKING CONDITIONS 4.1.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 4.2. Work performed in a production environment with hands-on coordination of materials, tools, and personnel. 4.3. Requires standing, sitting, lifting, and repetitive tasks. 4.4. Exposure to tools, equipment, operational noise, and production materials. 4.5. Must follow all safety protocols and use requiredPPE. 4.6.
Extended hours may be required to meet production deadlines. 5.PRINCIPAL DUTIES 5.1.
Assembly & Production Execution 5.1.1 Perform assembly of products, subassemblies, and components according to work orders and specifications. 5.1.2 Follow standard production processes to ensure consistency and efficiency. 5.1.3 Complete assigned production tasks within expected timelines. 5.1.4 Support batching and staging of work to maintain production flow. 5.2. Work Order Execution & Tracking 5.2.1 Review work orders and understand scope of work prior to execution. 5.2.2 Accurately complete assigned jobs and update status as required. 5.2.3 Maintain visibility of work in progress and completed units. 5.2.4 Ensure alignment with production schedules and priorities. 5.3. Quality Control & Inspection 5.3.1 Inspect work to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications. 5.3.2 Identify defects or inconsistencies and take corrective action. 5.3.3 Minimize rework through attention to detail and adherence to processes. 5.3.4 Support continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. 5.4. Inventory & Materials Coordination 5.4.1 Use materials and components accurately and efficiently. 5.4.2 Support inventory control by reporting discrepancies and minimizing waste. 5.4.3 Ensure proper handling and organization of tools, parts, and materials. 5.4.4 Coordinate with inventory or shipping teams as needed. 5.5. Workflow Coordination & Team Support 5.5.1 Support overall production flow and assist in meeting daily and weekly targets. 5.5.2 Communicate delays, issues, or bottlenecks to supervisors. 5.5.3 Assist team members to maintain consistent workflow and output. 5.5.4 Coordinate with other departments as required to support operations. 5.6. Repair & Rework Support 5.6.1 Assist in repair and rework of returned or defective units. 5.6.2 Evaluate components and perform necessary adjustments or replacements. 5.6.3 Ensure repaired units meet functional and quality standards. 5.6.4 Support refurbishment activities as required. 5.7 Testing & Validation 5.7.1 Perform testing of completed products to verify functionality and performance. 5.7.2 Follow established testing procedures and document results as required. 5.7.3 Identify and resolve issues prior to final release. 5.7.4 Ensure all completed products meet company quality standards. 5.8 Safety & Compliance 5.8.1 Follow all company safety procedures and policies. 5.8.2 Use required PPE and maintain a safe working environment. 5.8.3 Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly. 5.8.4 Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. 6.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS 6.1.
Performance will be evaluated based on: a. Production output and units completed. b. Throughput and efficiency (units per hour/day). c. Quality of work and reduction of rework or defects. d. Adherence to production schedules and deadlines. e. Accuracy in material usage and inventory control. f. Contribution to workflow efficiency and team performance. g. Compliance with safety and operational standards. 6.2.I Technician I (Entry Level)- Works under direct supervision and focuses on foundational assembly and production tasks.
- Performs basic assembly and production work following detailed instructions.
- Assists with simple repair and rework activities.
- Supports material handling, staging, and organization of work areas.
- Learns production processes, tools, and quality standards.
- Maintains consistency and accuracy while developing skills and speed. 6.2.II Technician I (Intermediate)
- Works independently on standard production tasks and supports workflow execution.
- Performs full assembly and repair tasks with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoots production issues with supervisory support.
- Assists in training Level I technicians on processes and quality standards.
- Begins coordinating with other departments such as inventory, shipping, and HLT.
- Maintains production flow and supports meeting output targets. 6.2.III Technician II (Advanced / Lead Technician)
- Operates as a subject matter expert and leader within production.
- Performs complex assembly, repair, and advanced production tasks.
- Independently troubleshoots and resolves production issues.
- Conducts testing and validation of finished products.
- Trains and mentors Level I and II technicians.
- Supports workflow optimization and assists in production planning.
- Ensures consistency in quality, efficiency, and adherence to standards across the team.
