Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on garment manufacturing equipment
• Perform general maintenance within the Design Studio (replace light bulbs, replace HVAC filters, etc.)
• Maintain humidifiers for proper climate control for special processes
• Assist with shipping and receiving (sign for deliveries and put away supplies or deliver to recipient, assist with preparing packages for shipment to domestic and international locations)
• Safety Committee membership which includes monthly inspections of the facility and creating an action plan (correcting minor hazards, contacting the landlord or contacting an outside vendor)
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of supplies and reporting replenishment needs to Technical Design Director for resupply Skills Experience in sewing machine mechanics or a willingness to learn.

Ability to think critically, analyze and solve complex problems. Basic electrical, AC/DC knowledge a plus. Possess a technical/mechanical aptitude. Understanding of Imperial and Metric systems and the ability to convert between each. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Mathematics proficiency. Attentive to detail. Eagerness to learn. Microsoft Office proficiency.
