We're looking for a Plant Safety Technician to help lead safety initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out on the production floor, identifying opportunities to improve safety, training employees, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. If you have experience in manufacturing safety and enjoy making a real impact on workplace culture, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Conduct routine safety inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing facility to identify hazards and ensure OSHA compliance. Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions. Monitor and enforce proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage. Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation, PPE, ergonomics, emergency response, and other safety topics. Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, medical documentation, and other safety records. Assist with safety audits and regulatory inspections. Participate on the plant safety committee and help drive continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a strong culture of workplace safety throughout the facility. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity standards. Report equipment, building, or vehicle issues through the company's maintenance system. What We're Looking For At least 1 year of safety experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing or food processing is a plus). OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required. Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, injury reporting, and PPE requirements. Strong communication and training skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with production teams. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between nearby facilities. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
