_5801 Job Summary Independently operates production equipment and workstations while ensuring product quality and equipment reliability. This role is responsible for routine setups, adjustments, operator-level maintenance, and in-process inspections to support efficient and consistent manufacturing output. Essential Job Functions
  • Independently operate assigned equipment or production cells with minimal supervision.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and parameter adjustments according to specifications. Monitor production performance, including cycle time, scrap, and throughput, and take corrective action as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical or process-related issues without escalation. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with control plans. Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional and functional requirements. Complete standard operator preventive maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability. Accurately document production results, quality data, downtime, and maintenance activities. Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. Support the onboarding and training of Manufacturing Technician I employees. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience. Competencies
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of machine operation, setup requirements, and basic mechanical principles within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to independently operate production equipment while meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations. Skill in performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring tools and specifications. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine equipment or process issues without direct supervision. Knowledge of quality standards, control plans, and inspection requirements applicable to assigned processes. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain steady production flow. Ability to support training and knowledge transfer to less experienced technicians. Operational Equipment N/A Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Self-paced, 10 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required. Physical Demands Heavy, lifting up to 85 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 280 lbs.
