Job Description

Additive Manufacturing Technician Location:
Onsite - No remote work

Phone and in-person interview required About the Role We're seeking a hands-on Additive Manufacturing Technician to support advanced 3D printing operations for rapid prototyping, production parts, and tooling within the Aerospace and Defense sectors. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role ideal for individuals who thrive on precision, technology, and innovation in manufacturing. As an Additive Manufacturing Specialist, you'll play a key role in transforming customer concepts into tangible components—from one-off prototypes to production-scale parts. You'll work directly with high-end 3D metal printing systems, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining top-tier quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain 3D metal printers and associated equipment Prepare machines for operation, including material changeovers and system setup Remove support structures and perform secondary finishing operations such as polishing, reaming, and straightening Manage printer scheduling for multiple builds to meet production timelines Conduct parts removal, cleaning, and post-processing Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on 3D printing systems Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure build accuracy and quality Assist with continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives Perform additional duties as needed to support smooth manufacturing operations Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 0-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or related technical environments Proficiency with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in additive manufacturing, metal 3D printing, or traditional manufacturing Hands-on experience with 3D metal printing systems such as EOS, Phenix/3DS, Concept Laser, or SLM Familiarity with metal finishing techniques , CNC machining , and CAD/CAM programming Understanding of materials science, mechanical properties, and laser welding processes Previous experience in Aerospace or Defense manufacturing Why Join This Opportunity This position offers a unique chance to be part of a cutting-edge manufacturing team driving innovation in the aerospace and defense industries.
