Job Overview TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Job Requirements Writes programs for less complex parts. Proves-out, sets-up, operates, and verifies the quality of product on at least 2 types of EDM machines within the department. Performs routine or repetitive operations in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities. Performs complex set-ups, without assistance, on at least 2 types of EDM equipment within the department. Develops/documents and proves out programs/processes on a variety of machine tools. Monitors variations in program sequence, e.g., positioning, cycle time, etc., and makes necessary corrections. Works from drawings and/or specifications as well as other Traveler instructions with little or no direction. Troubleshoots process related problems without supervision. Routinely runs two or more jobs at a time. Evaluates production job performance compared to established production and quality standards, makes improvements to processes to enhance operations. Makes suggestions for process improvements. Maintains required tooling, as needed, to manufacture parts to specifications. Conducts quality checks through the use of fixed or adjustable precision measuring devices. Works with Supervisor, Department Lead, Engineering, Quality, and other Manufacturing personnel to establish the most efficient manufacturing methods on special or complex projects. Instructs or assists others as needed. Performs routine PM and/or complex repairs on equipment as necessary. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely, and complies with all established safety rules and work practices. Complies with Company, Department, and quality policies and procedures as applicable. Keeps management informed of job, machine, and equipment related problems as well as any other information related to work activity. Maintains a positive attitude and promotes a "team" approach throughout the Department. Performs multiple operations as required.
- Performs related work as apparent or assigned. Essential skills and experience High school education or equivalent 2-5 years of EDM set-up and operating experience, preferably in a job shop environment. 1-2 years of programming EDM machines. Very strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills. Proficient at using a microscope
- Proficient at understanding complex blueprints.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $24.28- $36.44 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
