B Technician - Assembly (Mechanical Focus) Overview JTEKT is currently expanding operations in Piedmont with new production lines supporting Toyota programs, and we are actively building out our team. This is a hands-on, mechanical role supporting automated and semi-automated assembly lines in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy working with equipment, troubleshooting issues, and keeping production running — not just operating machines. You'll be responsible for supporting the line, identifying and correcting issues, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring quality throughout the process. What You'll Be Doing Support and maintain automated and semi-automated assembly equipment Troubleshoot line issues and short stops to keep production moving Perform basic mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance Conduct quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they impact production Assist Team Leads and step in as needed to support the line Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards) Work across different areas of the line as needed What We're Looking For We're targeting candidates who are mechanically inclined and hands-on , not just machine operators. Strong fits typically have experience in: Mechanical or maintenance-type roles Assembly or production environments with troubleshooting Fabrication, automotive, or equipment operation Military, mechatronics, or technical training backgrounds Key Skills & Experience Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on equipment Comfortable using hand tools and working around machinery Experience performing quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) Understanding of how production equipment operates (automated or semi-automated) Ability to follow standard work and maintain quality expectations Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team environment Work Environment Fast-paced, high-volume production environment Requires standing, bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and working with hands throughout the shift PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety glasses) Overtime and shift flexibility required Education High School Diploma or GED required #INDPRO
