This hands-on role supports the production of freeze-drying equipment by assembling mechanical and electrical components, wiring, testing, troubleshooting production issues, preparing parts and materials, and getting finished units ready for shipment. This is a good fit for someone with mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on work environment. What You'll Do Assemble freeze dryer units, subassemblies, and related components using work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and production specifications. Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, fitting, component installation, and related production tasks. Assist with testing, inspection, quality checks, and troubleshooting of freeze dryer units and related equipment. Kit, stage, organize, and prepare parts and materials for production, shipment, and customer orders. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, production equipment, and material-handling equipment safely and appropriately. Load, unload, and prepare completed units, components, and equipment for shipment. Work with quality, engineering, and startup team members to help resolve assembly, testing, or equipment issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Occasionally assist with customer-site installations.
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or a similar hands-on work environment. Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, work orders, and production specifications.
Preferred:
Forklift certification. Troubleshooting experience with wiring, electronics, or control components. Mechanical assembly experience with industrial equipment, production equipment, or machinery. Machining, fabrication, equipment repair, production equipment operation, warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or kitting experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Ability to perform hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, material handling, and equipment movement as required.
