This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to address challenging automation equipment issues and installations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interest in industrial automation machinery, especially with PLC or DCS control systems using a fieldbus technology; knowledge of Profinet or EtherCAT is preferred. The candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Tesla's projects are highly dynamic, as the company continuously adjusts priorities to improve productivity and efficiency. What You'll Do Install line-side equipment, including instrumentation and automation control systems Construct
NEC/UL508A
code compliant control panels and perform retrofits to existing panels, by following engineering prints and using supplier information Collaborate and provide feedback with relevant teams to determine appropriate equipment, instrument locations, and compliant cabling methods Verify automation equipment is safely installed and energized, and that it meets the project specifications and standards Troubleshoot complex electrical and control issues, using knowledge of control systems and proficiently reading electrical schematics, troubleshoot and commission VFD and servo drive systems Edit electrical schematics usingEPLAN P8
