The Assembly Line Operator 1 is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes. This role focuses on basic machine operation, quality checks, and adherence to safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate assigned machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Load and unload materials into machines. Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed. Perform basic quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications. Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures. Complete basic production documentation and logs. Assist with routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication. Use PDA to request/send materials to specific work areas. Open boxes with materials to sort materials and transfer to designated area. Manage the solid waste (boxes, plastic wrap, foam, etc.) disposal Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of machine operation and maintenance. Ability to work in different climates (cold or hot) Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and specifications. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic mechanical aptitude. Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills. Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk/stand for an extended period.
