Job Description

SUMMARY We are seeking a Manufacturing Powder Control Tech to work in an environment dealing with explosive powders and basic shop equipment. This position will support manufacturing by operating equipment, handling materials, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves assembling components, maintaining accurate production records, assisting with inventory control, and following established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate basic pressing machinery and drying equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards. Issue materials to production lines accurately and efficiently to support operational needs. Assist with inventory control activities, including tracking, counting, and organizing materials. Learn and follow company packaging and inventory procedures. Complete all required production and quality control documentation at the end of each shift. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies. Assemble components according to written instructions and specifications. Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or process concerns to the shift supervisor promptly. Follow all instructions and standard operating procedures with attention to detail. Must be available for overtime work as required to meet production demands. Learn cross-training in various explosive manufacturing disciplines to support operational flexibility. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety and operational procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different production areas.
