We're hiring a Senior Material Handler at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 2:15 p.m.-12:45 a.m.; overtime as needed. A Day in the Role You'll be the go-to resource ensuring the right parts and hardware are where they need to be, when they need to be there. From receiving and stocking to tracking inventory and replenishing workstations, you'll keep production flowing smoothly across a designated shop area. Core Contributions Receive, stock, and accurately record incoming and existing materials. Partner with team members and leaders to anticipate and fulfill material needs. Replenish work cells with the correct hardware and components. Use scanners and computer systems to maintain precise inventory and equipment records. Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials when needed. Follow all safety policies and practices to prevent incidents. Adhere to manufacturing standards and procedures for consistent output. Support quality by following standard work/process instructions and flagging risks to product quality. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 4+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment. Thrives in a fast-paced production setting. Comfortable learning and using computer systems, databases, and software. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Capable of extended periods of standing, walking, and physical activity. Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with coworkers. Preferred Forklift experience. Prior work in an industrial or warehouse environment. Work Style & Skills Strong multitasking with excellent attention to detail. Keeps a clean, organized work area. Self-directed and proactive. Willing to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed. Working Environment Safety-sensitive role in a temperature-controlled manufacturing/industrial setting with occasional outdoor tasks.
PPE required:
safety shoes, hard hats, bump caps, safety glasses, hearing protection as needed, and fall protection when required. Comfortable working from step ladders, A-frame ladders, and scissor lifts to perform overhead tasks. Work at heights up to approximately 10 feet on elevated structures using proper lift equipment. Physical Demands Balance and agility to prevent falls while walking, standing, crouching, and going up/down stairs or step ladders. Frequent bending at the waist and knees; ability to reach and extend arms/hands in any direction. Continuous standing and walking. Frequent use of upper extremities, including work above the shoulders and full arm extension with both arms. Lift up to 50 lbs to meet job demands. Regular use of hand and power tools.
