Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Sheet Metal Manufacturing Technician responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings while ensuring all components meet specifications. The ideal candidate will contribute to process improvements and support training efforts within the department. Key Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate manufacturing equipment to meet safety and quality standards Inspect raw materials and components to ensure they meet specifications before processing Verify finished products conform to drawings and specifications using measuring tools such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers Interpret engineering drawings and determine proper sequence of operations Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and quality Report on production, safety, quality, and operational issues Utilize ERP systems, drawing/model viewers, and machine control software Assist in training team members on equipment operation and safety procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Provide support across the department as needed Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Manufacturing, machine shop, or mechanical experience preferred Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply (training provided) Skills & Competencies Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (metric and standard) Strong math and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Effective communication and collaboration skills Self-motivated with the ability to identify and resolve issues Additional Requirements Ability to lift 30-50 lbs Reliable transportation Willingness to work overtime as needed Ability to pass pre-employment screening Preferred Qualifications Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes such as bending, turret press, or laser operations Familiarity with ERP systems and technical software tools Bilingual abilities are a plus Experience identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies #ZR #IND1
