Full Job Description Overview:
Production & Packaging Technicians report to the Production & Packaging Manger and assist in the day-to-day operations of the RTD canning facility. Duties include setting up, operation of, and breakdown and cleaning of all production equipment on a daily basis. Position also assists in equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and general janitorial work throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in canning operation, including setup and breakdown of packaging lines, box building, pack off, walk in organization Learn to operate canning line and associated equipment Cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of all packaging equipment, inventory, and raw materials General janitorial work, i.e., cleaning stainless parts, sweep and scrub floors, duty, etc. Shipping and receiving help Operate a forklift to safely load, unload and move material in the work area per manufacturer's instructions.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should: Have basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate machinery, including a forklift Maintain organization, discipline, be detail oriented with the ability to multitask Possess excellent time management and organizational skills Have a willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities Have the ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments, move and maneuver 100+lbs, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, twist and crouch repeatedly while working in a loud, fast paced environment. Be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during a 10-hour shift Be able to bend, twist and stoop repeatedly during a 10-hour shift
