The selected candidate will set up and operate pilot and production equipment, move raw materials and finished units, follow standard work and build instructions, perform in-process quality checks, and support safe and efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working around manufacturing equipment, and committed to safety, quality, and consistent output.

This position: Supports the project through hands-on operation of shop and pilot equipment to build market trial material Is located indoors in the South Sound corridor (Tacoma to Federal Way, WA) Offers flexible shift hours Monday through
Sunday Responsibilities:
Follow all safety protocols, including plant, shop, lockout/tag out, PPE, and material handling requirements; maintain a clean and organized work area Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust trial production equipment and shop tools to build, assemble, trim, stage, and package materials to specification Perform in-process quality checks on dimensions, appearance, labeling, and material condition; record production data and identify nonconforming material Communicate equipment or process issues to leads and engineering teams Support equipment setup, changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and material movement Partner with engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams to improve process repeatability and through put
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Reliable, self-directed work habits with strong attention to safety, quality, and daily production needs Ability to work safely in a manufacturing, pilot line, or shop environment around moving equipment and materials Mechanical aptitude and comfort operating and adjusting shop, fabrication, or production equipment Ability to follow standard work instructions, read basic drawings, complete production records, and safely use hand tools and shop equipment
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, wood products, composites, or similar industrial environments Experience supporting pilot lines, trial runs, prototypes, or low-volume production Experience operating saws, cutters, presses, fastening tools, measuring equipment, hoists, forklifts, or similar equipment Residential construction or carpentry experience
