Manufacturing Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting Manufacturing Technologists and Manufacturing Techs in VMRD product manufacturing. This role performs routine laboratory tasks, maintains accurate documentation, follows quality and safety procedures, and contributes to efficient manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follows all policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Packages and labels products according to established procedures. Performs autoclaving, dishwashing, and laboratory cleaning procedures. Adheres to aseptic technique during laboratory procedures. Complete accurate and timely documentation of work performed. Calibrates, operates, and performs routine maintenance of laboratory maintenance. Initiates document changes and develops new documentation. Prepares laboratory reagents. Runs and manufactures IFA assays and related reagents Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications and Experiences:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environment preferred. Familiarity with aseptic technique preferred. Experience following SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
Education, Licenses and Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate or bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related life science preferred. Physical Requirements for the
Job:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods (approximately 50% of the workday). Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including exposure to cleaning agents and biological materials while following established safety procedures.
Pay:
$19 per hour
Full-Time Benefits Paid Vacation:
Starting at 12 days accrued/year based on length of service
