Job Description
Job Overview Costa Custom Boats is looking to hire an experienced Naval Architect to help and be a part of our growth in the custom center console catamaran industry. If you're hard-working and dedicated, Costa is a great place to further your career. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications. Responsibilities for Naval Architect
- Assess project requirements and research feasibility
- Negotiate and agree on project budgets, timescales, and specifications
- Plan and supervise the construction of vessels
- Produce detailed designs of boats using drawings and specialist computer software
- Develop and utilize test procedures including computer modeling and scale models
- Interpret and analyze data and test results
- Source and purchase components, equipment and materials
- Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing boats Qualifications for Naval Architect
- Able to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings
- Experience with CAD
- Experience with CFD software preferred
- work to timetables and under pressure to meet deadlines
