Job Description

What will you be doing? The primary objective of the position is to coordinate the engineering activities and the offshore operations for the pre-commissioning workscope of the projects.
JOB ROLES / CONTEXT OF POSITION
The Senior Pre-commissioning Engineer will work in a pre-commissioning team within the engineering department to support subsea projects and tenders. This is an operational and technical position reporting to the Pre-commissioning Team Lead, located in Houston. While on projects, this position shall initially report to the Project Manager and project engineering manager during project engineering phase, and then to the Offshore Construction Manager during the offshore installation phase. The position is located in the Houston Office or in Merida, Mexico and requires local and overseas travel. During the installation phase, offshore work will be requiredWhat experience would we like you to have? Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Naval Architecture or Ocean/Marine Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
Languages:
Fluent in both written and spoken English (essential). Spanish and French is an additional plus.
EXPERIENCE
5 to 10 years' experience in similar position in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably an installation Contractor. Offshore construction and installation experience on shallow water/deepwater projects. Candidate should have a strong background and hands-on experience with offshore pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning engineering and project execution. Strong experience in pipeline flooding, hydrotesting, cleaning/gauging and dewatering is required. Good experience with umbilical monitoring & testing will be a plus
