Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong CAD design expertise to support the design, development, and quality assurance of welded components and assemblies. This role focuses on optimizing safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and optimize welding procedures and work instructions. Create and modify detailed 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for welded structures and components. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure weld designs meet performance and cost requirements. Perform weld inspections for acceptability to customer requirements. Provide guidance on weldability, material selection, and fabrication processes. Troubleshoot welding issues, including defects, distortion, and process inefficiencies. Support and maintain Cobot and Production Robot Welders Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for weld-related issues. Maintain documentation for welding procedures, inspection reports, and quality records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) required. Proficiency in CAD software required, Autodesk Products preferred (Inventor, AutoCAD). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required. Proven experience in steel fabrication environments preferred. Strong understanding of welding processes preferred. Ability to read welding symbols preferred. Familiarity with robotic or automated welding systems preferred.
