Experienced Metallographer Needed for an Aerospace Company.
Shift:
2nd. Must be able to train on 1st as needed.- Pay R ange: $ 30
- $ 45/hr (DOE)
Location:
Valley area We are seeking an experienced Metallographer to join our team! Perform metallurgical testing and analysis of metal materials and components. Prepare metallurgical samples by sectioning, mounting, grinding, and polishing according to established procedures and specifications. Conduct microstructure analysis, hardness testing, and material inspections. Interpret test results and document findings accurately. Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and testing procedures. Ensure materials meet quality standards and industry specifications.Requirements:
Previous metallography experience required, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree in Metallurgy or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. 3+ years of metallurgical or materials testing laboratory experience. Knowledge of metallographic preparation and ASTM standards (E3, E112, E384). Experience with cutting saws, mounting presses, polishing equipment, and hardness testers. Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and lab safety practices, including chemical handling. $30.00- $45.
