Full Job Description Requirements:
- Need to have previous forging experience or within a melt shop with superalloy or Ti experience.
- B.S. in Material Sciences with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of various aerospace alloy groups, including Ni-based superalloys, titanium, aluminum, and steel alloys
- Experience with heat treat, pyrometry and aerospace forging products preferred.
- Knowledge of
NADCAP/AS9001

Pyrometry.- Knowledge of standards and specifications: ASTM, ASM, AISI, SAE and MIL.
- Experience working with Quality specification requirements of major aerospace customers: Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Safran, GE Aviation, Military, Northrop Grumman, Pratt & Whitney, and others.

Certification is a plus.- Quality systems and document maintenance background.
- Ability to collect and analyze metallurgical data

- Ability to support a 24 / 7 operation.
Responsibilities:
- Support a large-scale aerospace quality audit initiative at Shultz Steel in South Gate, California.
- Execute assigned activities within a comprehensive product audit program.
- Conduct product audits to assess product quality and compliance with applicable aerospace requirements.
- Perform process audits and/or quality system audits, as assigned.
- Assess compliance with applicable aerospace quality requirements.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality issues, findings, discrepancies, and potential compliance gaps.
- Review quality and manufacturing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support product audit and configuration management activities.
- Support configuration management activities and verify configuration-related requirements where applicable.
- Review and evaluate product, process, and quality records with strong attention to detail.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and review FAI documentation where applicable.
- Verify product traceability and associated records where applicable.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and technically detailed audit reports and written findings.
- Document audit results and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders.
- Work efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced, demanding aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams as required.
- Provide immediate contribution with minimal onboarding.
- Perform other audit and quality engineering activities necessary to support successful completion of the aerospace audit program.
