Junior Engineer

We are a 30-year-old company seeking long-term dedicated Junior Engineer to join for Vista, CA team.

Job Description:

As a member of the team, the Engineering position will be responsible for designing and drafting new packaging machinery, improve on existing machinery, and update drawings. The engineer will work very closely with machine builders, sales team and purchasing department to improve designs and efficiency of machinery and will report to the Lead Engineer, Chief Engineer, and indirectly Production Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Engineers and develops all manufactured machinery produced Quality control and assurance of all machine parts during all phases of production Maintains and updates CAD drawings and schematics for all equipment manufactured. Writes and assists in the production of manuals, spec. sheets, and related technical papers on all equipment manufactured on site. Assists sales reps in the quotation process of custom equipment. Designs and develops CAD drawings and assembly of custom equipment. Tests and verifies custom equipment operation and standards set by the customer and Engineer Recognizes current trends in order to develop new equipment that meets market needs. Plans, researches, and budgets time and money in creating research and development projects.

2D/3D drafting - AutoCAD 2010+ AutoDesk Inventor 2010+ Ability to read and generate accurate mechanical drawings Have knowledge of Bill of Materials and exploded view documentation Ability to precisely measure parts for quality assurance and capturing as-built parts Have a mechanical mind to think of solutions to better design machinery Communicate well with machine builders,

Sales Team, Engineering Team and Purchasing Department Additional Requirements:
