Engineering Aide 2 (W2 Contract) Peoria, IL | Fully Onsite 12?month contract-option to go internal $25/hr W2 No C2C Locals only Overview We're seeking an Engineering Aide 2 to support Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Growth business unit. In this onsite role, you'll support engineering projects by applying basic engineering techniques, conducting tests and inspections, preparing technical documentation, and supporting technical publications for Cat Defense products and military customers. Key Responsibilities Support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques Conduct inspections and analytical tests; analyze, synthesize, and summarize data Maintain control charts and assist with root cause analysis Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, schematics, and diagrams Assist with cost?benefit analyses and track/report expenses Perform quality assurance tests and support process improvements Collect, enter, and analyze data; generate reports and presentations Develop, review, and maintain technical publications and manuals for military programs Support bill?of?material and technical data submissions to government organizations Provide daily support to the Manager of Information & Technology Services Required Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field 2-4 years of relevant experience Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Basic ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and perform calculations Experience with computer applications and engineering?related software Preferred Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience Caterpillar publications development experience Experience with Teamcenter, EDS, SIS, or similar systems Top Skills Strong ability to work independently and manage time Strong collaboration skills Listening skills and initiative #LI-VV1 #INDEPI
