Job Description

Position:
Quality Coordinator Duties:
Responsible for managing the company's quality system and ensure that the plant meets all quality system requirements to maintain the customer Certification, ISO/TS16949 and 2009 standard. Lead the Welding Department. Manage, control, and improve the Cost of Quality and a long-term vision for improvement. Implement new technologies in Quality and Welding. Oversee customer service regarding quality performance and customer required testing in company's products. Maintain and improve the performance of Quality ratings with the customers. Assure the quality of products from raw materials receipt to finished product delivery. Promote the continuous improvement in processes. Provide support in the implementation of new projects. Manage data collection system, ensure timely and accurate data at all times. Manage containment activity on a daily basis. Drive the teams to ensure all quality rejects from customers and liaisons have the proper problem solving and documentation completed per standard. Understand the technical details related to quality on assembly, welding, GD&T, forming, and E-coat to properly help the teams problem solve and communicate technical issues clearly to the customer. Escalate customer concerns and defects internally immediately and per the company process as required. Ensure IATF compliance is adequately followed and documented to pass all yearly recertification audits. Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately. Use innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant. Be proactively involved with improving working conditions. Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them. Lead areas in achieving Plant quality objectives/goals. Assure 100% on-time delivery to customers. Target 0 PPM on arts for all customers. Understand customer needs and work toward meeting and exceeding them. Actively support full implementation of the 5S's, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat and properly maintained. Perform other duties/responsibilities at the Elizabethtown, KY facility, as needed.
Location:
Elizabethtown, KY Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
5 years of experience in the job offered, or in a manufacturing engineering, welding engineering, or quality engineering position within the automotive chassis frame industry. Experience must include the development and validation of welding processes for automotive chassis frames. Must have hands-on experience developing guidelines and support documents for new programs and projects launches related to welding applications. Experience can be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
