High School Diploma / Technical School / Associate Degree Preferred (Degree Not Mandatory) Job Description We are seeking a motivated Chassis Seibi Technician with experience in robotic welding, MIG welding, arc welding, and electrical troubleshooting to support new model manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will assist with robotic equipment installation, programming, validation, and production launch activities while ensuring equipment meets safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets. This position involves extensive hands-on work with welding robots, fixtures, clamping systems, and automated manufacturing equipment. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50%, including potential international travel to Japan. Key Responsibilities Perform robot programming and robot motion teaching for welding applications. Configure, teach, and troubleshoot robotic arc welding and MIG welding systems . Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment. Conduct equipment validation and confirm machinery meets production requirements. Perform electrical troubleshooting on robotic cells, sensors, actuators, and related equipment. Work with clamping systems, fixtures, and tooling used in welding operations. Support production launch activities and equipment modifications. Collaborate with engineering, production, vendors, and project teams to resolve technical issues. Participate in hands-on training and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel to manufacturing plants, supplier locations, and project sites throughout North America and internationally as required. Required SkillsMust Have 1-6 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or welding environments.
Hands-on experience with:
Robotic Welding MIG Welding Arc Welding Robot Motion Teaching Arc Weld Teaching Electrical Troubleshooting Clamping and Weld Fixtures Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or automation equipment. Ability to read basic electrical, mechanical, and process documentation. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Experience with industrial robots such as:
FANUC ABB
Motoman (Yaskawa) Kawasaki Automotive manufacturing experience. Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, or production launch activities NIT01
Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
