Application Scientist Job Description As an Application Scientist, you will support product development and applications in electronic materials and chemistry. You will be instrumental in testing, coating formulation, epoxy testing, and battery power applications. Your role as a technical expert for coating materials, including silicone, acrylic, and urethane, will be crucial for the success of our projects. Responsibilities Support product development and electronic materials applications. Run testing and experiments related to coating formulation, epoxy testing, and battery power. Serve as a technical expert for coating materials such as silicone, acrylic, and urethane. Develop R D processes and troubleshoot issues related to adhesion, defects, and reliability performance. Assist in proof of concept projects and participate in customer calls and demonstrations. Design and execute application experiments. Essential Skills Experience with epoxy, chemistry, and coatings. Proficiency in handling acrylics, UV curable materials, and silicone. Expertise in process development and product development processes. Strong experience in material science, chemical engineering, and powder coating. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience in chemistry, material science, or chemical engineering. Strong leadership and collaboration skills. Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to drive projects forward. Work Environment You will be part of a dynamic R D team comprising 15-20 members. This position is 100% onsite, with normal business hours from Monday to Friday. The role involves approximately 25% travel, mainly within North America. You will be a key team member driving customer proposals forward. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Westwood, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr. They provide health, dental vision, 401k and holiday and vacation benefits as well.
