Come Join an Inclusive Team The Technology Development Engineer is responsible for the development, commercialization, and technical support of polypropylene (PP) compounded resins for automotive applications. This role provides end‑to‑end ("cradle‑to‑grave") ownership of PP compound products, from initial design through OEM approval, launch, and ongoing customer support. #LI-LL2A Day in the Life This person will have full lifecycle responsibility for PP compounded resins used in automotive applications. There will be a strong emphasis on problem solving, technical ownership, communication, and responsiveness. Ability to translate fundamental polymer science and mechanics into practical solutions for material, processing, or application issues. Frequent interaction with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and OEMs.
Main Job Accountabilities:
Lead development of new polypropylene compounds for automotive applications, from concept through commercialization Support compound scale up, manufacturing readiness, quality planning, and OEM approval processes Provide technical support for existing commercial PP compound products Serve as center of excellence for a defined set of raw materials and suppliers Collaborate with suppliers to expand material capabilities Develop and communicate best practice technologies within the technology team Act as technical focal point for customers and OEMs, representing products and company capabilities Investigate and resolve customer and field issues related to material performance or processing Ensure full compliance with HSE and safety requirements You Bring This Value Education Bachelor's degree required in Polymer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related fieldMaster's or PhD preferred
Experience Preferred:
3+ years of experience in polymer or polymer compound development and/or technical support Experience in the automotive market is preferred, including basic familiarity with OEM approval processes and/or automotive quality systems
Required Technical Competencies:
