Job Overview We're hiring a Welding Manager to lead our welding operations and ensure the highest levels of quality, safety, and efficiency across all welding processes, including manual and robotic welding systems. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a team of welders while maintaining production schedules, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and upholding our commitment to craftsmanship. You'll play a key role in training and developing welders, driving process improvements that enhance throughput without compromising quality, and ensuring our welding operations are scalable to meet customer and production needs. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the welding team, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards Schedule and coordinate daily welding activities to meet production targets and customer deadlines Train and develop welders in best practices, techniques, and safety procedures Inspect welds and oversee quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address issues related to weld design, manufacturability, and process improvements Maintain equipment, tooling, and work areas to ensure operational readiness and a clean, organized workspace Support the development and implementation of welding procedures, documentation, and process improvements Monitor and report on key performance metrics for the welding department Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and craftsmanship on the shop floor Qualifications 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and safety standards Experience with robotic welding systems, including programming, operation, and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols Experience with weld inspections and quality assurance practices Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, production-driven Preferred Qualifications Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) Experience in hydraulic system manufacturing or heavy equipment industries Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives Understanding of fixture design and fabrication to support production welding What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Paid time off and holidays A values-driven team committed to grit, ownership, and craftsmanship The opportunity to help shape processes and culture in a growing company Location Burnsville, MN (On-site) Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work full-time in person.
