Job Description Conduct metallurgical and materials investigations to evaluate product performance, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations related to product defects, material performance, and customer quality concerns. Support quality assurance initiatives through laboratory testing, material characterization, and technical reporting. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to improve material performance and process capability. Develop and maintain material specifications, testing standards, and technical documentation. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience in metallurgy, materials engineering, product development, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering. Strong understanding of metals, alloys, heat treatment processes, material properties, and failure analysis techniques. Experience utilizing laboratory equipment, microscopy, mechanical testing, and material characterization methods. Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
