No Offer Description We are pleased to invite applications for a fully funded PhD position to join the ERC Starting Grant HyperFMOF project (ref. 101163095) , hosted at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Toledo, Spain. The HyperFMOF project focuses on the development and comprehensive characterization of novel hyperfluorescent materials based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), aiming to integrate them into MOF-based light-emitting diodes (MOF-LEDs). This PhD position will specifically address advanced spectroscopic characterization of photophysical processes and the fabrication and performance testing of LED devices .
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct steady-state and time-resolved spectroscopic measurements to characterize MOFs and related hybrid materials. Participate in the fabrication and testing of MOF-LED prototypes. Collaborate with synthetic chemists and computational scientists to correlate structure-property-performance relationships. Analyze and interpret spectroscopic and device performance data. Present results at internal meetings, international conferences, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications. Strong interest in spectroscopy, optoelectronics, and device fabrication is essential. Prior experience with photoluminescence spectroscopy, time-resolved techniques, or electroluminescent device assembly will be highly valued. Good level of English (both written and spoken). Strong motivation to pursue a PhD, teamwork skills, and scientific curiosity are expected.
