Sub Arc Welder / Machine Operator•
Day and Night Shift Available Day Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM•6:00
PM Night Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM•6:00
AM Assignment Length:
Minimum 1 month, with potential for extension/long-term opportunity Job Overview We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals for a Sub Arc Welder / Machine Operator position on 3rd shift. This role primarily involves monitoring an automated sub arc welding machine during long production runs of very large parts. While the welding itself is machine-operated, employees will be responsible for ensuring the machine runs properly, replenishing wire spools, and positioning parts throughout the process. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work and is comfortable working in a production-based manufacturing environment. Welding experience is helpful but not required—candidates with prior welding knowledge may qualify for higher pay. Responsibilities Monitor automated sub arc welding machine during production runs Refill wire spools as needed to maintain continuous machine operation Position and adjust large parts before and during welding process Inspect production process and monitor weld quality standards Troubleshoot minor issues and report machine concerns as needed Maintain clean and safe work area Qualifications Previous welding experience is helpful but not required Candidates with welding background may be eligible for higher pay Ability to work in a repetitive, process-driven environment Comfortable standing and monitoring machine operation for extended periods Must be dependable and able to follow detailed instructions Manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus Additional Information Position involves repetitive tasks and long production runs Minimal hands-on welding required; most welding is automated Opportunity could extend beyond initial assignment based on performance and business needs #INDJen
