Job Description
Job Overview A Welding Team Leader coordinates each welder on the assigned weld line to monitor the progress of the operations and ensure the safety of all workers. The leader also inspects the finished product to ensure it is built properly and safely. Job Responsibilities Oversee welding team Ensure conformance to safety requirements Verify quality of welds Train new welders Troubleshoot welding equipment issues Monitor project progress Coordinate welding team to fit project goals Other responsibilities, as assigned Education - Experience Required High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent Preferred; Technical education courses, postsecondary institutions, such as vocational and technical institutes, community colleges, private welding, soldering, and brazing schools Comprehend Technical Drawings and Other Visual Instructions Give Visual, Written, and Oral Instructions Safety Regulations and Procedures Welding Active Listening Communication - Internal and External Continuous Improvement Decision Making Interpersonal Skills Leadership Management of Personnel Resources Teamwork Heat Tolerance Lifting Ability up to 50 lbs.
