About the Role As a Lead Welding Coordinator, you will drive excellence in our fabrication department by guiding a skilled team and ensuring every weld meets rigorous quality benchmarks. Your leadership will directly impact operational efficiency and safety, fostering a culture of precision and technical growth. Responsibilities Direct daily fabrication workflows to optimize team output and project timelines. Champion a safety-first environment by enforcing strict adherence to industry protocols. Drive quality assurance initiatives by evaluating weld integrity and implementing process improvements. Mentor welding personnel to elevate technical proficiency and overall department productivity. Partner with project leadership to align fabrication efforts with complex technical specifications. Manage the lifecycle of welding consumables and machinery to ensure continuous operational readiness. Execute systematic audits of equipment performance and structural welding processes. Synthesize operational data into actionable insights for management review. Qualifications Required Skills Demonstrated success in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting. Deep technical expertise in diverse welding methodologies, metallurgy, and equipment maintenance. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing technical teams. Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints and engineering schematics. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on precision and process optimization. Preferred Skills Current professional welding certifications such as AWS or ASME. Formal education or technical training in welding technology or mechanical engineering. Experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve throughput.
