USA-Scientist I (Scientific)#26-23288 Swiftwater, PA Onsite Job Description
Description:
Industrial Operations at client, continues to develop its manufacturing assets to produce existing and new vaccines and biopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
Execution of small scale experiments, working with eggs and flu virus. Support and assist production of high growing flu virus reassortants, flu reference antigen, and antisera. Running hemagglutination testing, SDS-PAGE, chromatography, and PCR. Ordering and maintaining supplies and materials and shipping materials as needed. Working with outside vendors as needed. Shipping biological samples for sequencing. Writing internal development protocols and reports related to project. Sample management between labs, manufacturing buildings, and analytical sciences department.
Skills:
Working in a fast-paced team environment requiring multitasking ability Focus on Site Safety Possessing the following competencies: Interpersonal skills Communication skills Teamwork skills Organizational skills Attention to detail Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; science/biology field preferred. 1+ years of laboratory experience (academic lab experience accepted) Experience working with viruses is a plus
