$100,000 - $115,000 per year A bit about us: A large industrial manufacturing operation is hiring a Metallurgical Engineering Leader to oversee product quality, technical standards, and metallurgical practices across a production facility. Competitive Compensation, Bonus and Benefits Package Stable Career path Rewarding experience to work with fortune 500 Company Excellent culture and peers 401K Match 3 weeks of vacation to start Job Details What you will do Lead a team of metallurgical engineers and technicians, setting priorities, managing performance, and driving accountability Define and maintain product capabilities, material requirements, and technical specifications across the operation Serve as the primary technical resource for product quality, including customer specifications and compliance standards Partner with production teams to ensure processes and inspection methods consistently meet product requirements Lead new product introduction efforts, including trials, qualification, and production readiness Oversee investigation and disposition of non-conforming product, including root cause analysis and corrective actions Work directly with customers to resolve claims and support technical discussions related to product performance Support sourcing and qualification of raw materials and inputs, ensuring they meet required specifications Establish and track performance metrics tied to quality, capability, and continuous improvement Ensure adherence to quality systems and participate in internal and external audits What you bring Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field Experience in manufacturing quality within an industrial environment Prior leadership experience managing technical teams Strong understanding of product specifications, process capability, and quality standards Ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and customer-facing teams Nice to have Extensive experience in metals manufacturing, especially rolled or engineered products Background in structured quality systems and audits Strong data analysis skills and experience using statistical tools Proven experience leading new product development efforts Track record of managing customer-facing technical issues and claims Key Work Environment Day-based leadership role with cross-functional responsibilities High visibility across operations, quality, and commercial teams Requires occasional travel for customer interaction Why Us Leadership role with full ownership of product quality and metallurgical standards Direct impact on customer satisfaction, product performance, and plant capability Opportunity to lead team development while shaping technical strategy Exposure to both manufacturing operations and customer-facing technical work Stable, established manufacturing environment with complex, high-spec products Interested in hearing more?
